How do I create a WandrLust account?

You can create an account in just a few taps:

– A device running iOS 13+ 
– A stable internet connection for full functionality

How do I download and install the WandrLust app?

You can download WandrLust for free from your device’s app store:

  • iPhone/iPad → Search “WandrLust” on the App Store

Is there a tutorial available for new users?

Not just yet — but we’re working on it!

Can I use WandrLust offline?

Right now, WandrLust needs an internet connection for most features to work properly — like maps and weather.

But we’re building toward offline support.
In the future, you’ll be able to record your adventures even without reception and sync everything once you’re back online.

We know adventures don’t always have signal — and we’re on it.

Account & Privacy

Can I cancel or delete my account at any time?

Yes. You can delete your account whenever you like.

Just go to:
Profile Settings > Login & Security > Delete Your Account

Once confirmed, your account and personal data will be permanently removed.

No strings attached — it’s your adventure, your choice.

What happens to my data once my account is deleted?

Once deleted, your account and personal data will be permanently removed from our system — this includes your profile, saved adventures, and any linked information.

We don’t keep backups of deleted accounts, and your data will not be recoverable.

It’s your journey — and you’re in control every step of the way.

How is my personal data handled?

We take your privacy seriously.

WandrLust only collects the information needed to provide a great user experience — and we never sell your data.

Your personal data is:
– Stored securely
– Used only for features you engage with
– Never shared with third parties without your consent

You’re always in control. You can manage or delete your data anytime via Profile Settings > Login & Security.

Can I change my email or password?

Yes — you can update your email or password anytime.

Just go to:
Profile > Login & Security
From there, you’ll be able to change your login details securely.

If you ever forget your password, just tap “Forgot your password?” on the login screen to reset it.

What is the Adventure Toolkit?

The Adventure Toolkit is your go-to hub inside the WandrLust app — packed with tools to help you explore, record, and enjoy the outdoors.

You can find it by tapping the “✕” button in the center of the bottom menu.

Here’s what’s inside:

  • Record Adventure — Capture your journey in real time.

  • Adventure Story Map — View and follow the story behind your travels.

  • Places/Trails Nearby — Discover trails, parks, and adventure spots close to you.

  • Air Quality & Pollen Count — Stay safe with real-time environmental info.

  • Compass — Simple, handy navigation wherever you are.

  • WandrList — Track your dream destinations and completed adventures.

  • Live Share — Share your adventure live with friends or family (feature in development).

  • Pinpoint Location — Quickly mark your exact spot.

  • Friends Nearby — See other WandrLust users close to you (coming soon).

  • Animal Identify — Instantly identify wildlife (coming soon).

What is the WandrList?

Think of it like your personal bucket list — a space to save all the adventures you want to experience.

– See someone’s experience that you love on the Adventure Map??
– Just tap “Add to WandrList” to save it for later
– You can create folders, rename them, and keep everything organised

In the future, saved adventures will include all the details — photos, trails, weather, and more — so you can seamlessly retrace someone else’s adventure.

It’s the easiest way to plan your next trip, inspired by the people out there doing it.

What is the Adventure Map?

The Adventure Map is a global map of real adventures — created by our community and built to inspire.

Every pin represents a story someone has lived, a moment they’ve shared, and a memory they’ve chosen to keep forever.

We’re celebrating nature and real experiences — not selfies, but scenery. Not filters, but fresh air.

You can:

  • Explore the world through authentic stories

  • Tap any pin to see the adventure behind it

  • Use filters to search by story type, people, and date

  • Add your own story and place it on the map

When you see what others are doing — and what’s out there waiting — you’ll want to get out and explore too. That’s the magic of shared adventure.

Community and Social Platform

WandrLust’s community platform flips the script — here, adventure is the influencer. It’s a place where wild stories, remote trails, and breathtaking moments take center stage. Share your experiences, connect with fellow explorers, and be inspired by real-world adventures happening all over the globe. Whether you’re deep in the wild or exploring your local park, your story has the power to spark someone else’s journey.

How do I create a post?

Go to the Community tab, tap the “+” button, and select “Create Post.” Add photos, a title, activity type, location, and optional tags. Then tap “Publish.”

How do I create a story?

From the Adventure Map, tap “Add an Adventure Story.” Upload your best photo, choose a location, and create your story—it will be placed on the global adventure map.

How do I add an activity type to my post?

When you’re creating a post (tap the orange + in the Community tab), scroll down and tap “Add activity type.” You can select from popular categories like hiking or trail running — or type your own.

How do I add a location to my post?

Inside the Create Post screen, tap “Add location.” You’ll be able to search for and select your adventure spot, which helps others discover it on the map.

Can I rate my adventure?

Yes. While creating your post, scroll to “Add ratings” and choose how many stars your adventure deserves. You can also write a short review to help others planning a similar trip.

Can I tag people in my post?

Not yet — but this feature is coming soon. Stay tuned!

When available, you’ll find the “Tag people” option in the Create Post screen. You’ll be able to search and tag friends directly from your contact list.

Can I describe how difficult my adventure was?

Yes. When creating a post (via the + button in the Community tab), scroll down and tap “Difficulty.” You can choose from options like Easy, Moderate, Difficult, or even Experts Only to help others know what to expect.

What’s the benefit of sharing on the Adventure Map?

Sharing on the Adventure Map helps your stories reach a global audience, inspire others to explore, and grow your presence in the community. The more you post, the more visibility you may gain — and the higher you may appear in activity rankings.

Early contributors will be more discoverable when leaderboards launch, giving them a stronger start. More followers means more visibility and a better chance to unlock new in-app features over time.

Your adventures become part of a global, living map — and your future self will thank you for starting now.

How do I explore other people’s adventures?

To explore other people’s adventures, tap on the Adventure Story Map in the app. You’ll see a global map filled with real adventures shared by the community.

In this early phase, you can view their photos, stories, and key info. In future updates, you’ll be able to follow in their exact footsteps—with saved trails, details, and tips to experience their adventure your own way.

How does sharing help me grow on the platform?

Sharing your adventures helps others find your profile and engage with your content. As you post more, you increase your visibility in the app and contribute to a more active and inspiring community.

Popular posts may help you rise in the leaderboard, unlocking access to exclusive features and recognition in the future. Consistent sharing sets you up to connect with others, explore more deeply, and get the most out of the WandrLust experience.

In the future, we may offer optional add-ons or premium features that enhance your experience. These are completely optional and not required to enjoy the core app.

You’ll always be able to share, explore, and connect with others at no cost.
